Copied folder onto new G-Tech drive---disappeared!
by mtuch on Oct 30, 2007 at 2:43:24 am

I turned on my new G-Tech G-Drive (mounts fine) and drag a folder (important one too) from my current drive onto the window for the drive.

Instead of a plus sign (for copy vs. move) I get this puffy cloud graphic attached to the folder.

I think, hmmm, weird, but OK, whatever.

Let go of the mouse and cloud turns into a plume of smoke and the folder has completely disappeared.

It looks like it permanently deleted this important folder! Not in trash. Search doesn't turn it up.

I'm using Mac OS.

Does anyone know what happened?

I'm stressing out!

Thanks in advance.

i believe you wrote us directly and got this figured out... You threw away the ALIAS to that folder. You just need to go back to the original location of that folder... and drag it back to the sidebar.
