Hi, If you are still having this problem, check to see if you have enough room on your temp (render) drive. Even if you have your source files on a non-C drive, your temp directory defaults to C: .

It was like a message from God when I saw the question and your response. I am having the same error message about not having enough room to burn a DVD. I use Premiere 6.5 which came boundled with DVDit LE. I used Matrox 6.5 to export my project to a separate export drive "E". I brought the video and sound files into DVDit. Then, I wanted a straight copy with no buttons or chapters. I read how to click movies at the bottom of the screen and take my video media and drag it over to the first play area, and do the same with the sound file. I could see a preview of my movie with sound. The size of my time line was 1.5 hours. When I went to build, I got the red warning that said my project was too big. It said current size is 5.27 GB. That is coming from the E drive. Should I check on my temporary files on other drives. I used Premier 6.5 and it does make temporary files for the rendering process, probably on C the system drive.

Hi Barrie,
Is your DVD media single layer or double? If your project is saying it totals 5.27 Gigs, then you need dual layer DVD media. (but didnt think this specific error message would be caused by that.)
Do check what drive DVDits Temp directory is pointing to. Even if you 'exported your project to the E drive', DVDits Temp directory prob still points to C. Check your preferences, and maybe check to see how much space you have avail on C.
Keep us posted. :)

Peter: First, I defragmented my drive where my time line comes from and it took a good hour to finish. I also defragmented my C drive where my system files and DVDit are kept. I looked at the DVDit files and there seem to be quite a few of those, but I couldn't see anything that had any indication of being temporary. After my incident of rejection because of size of file, I did delete the exported file from my export drive. My system drive C is 37.26 GB of which 28.20 are free. Carlos, at Matrox, asked if I could lower quality settings on DVDit. When you first start a project in DVDit, I may have seen that you could select MPEG1, but would I really want to do that? I am almost ready to make another attempt at exporting and burning. I will wait to see what you say first.
