Hi all, new cow-person here. Hey :-)
Using Adobe Premiere pro/Pro Coder/DVDit ProHD and I'm having problems consistently burning a DVD. Do any of you have tips on the following apparently not totally mpeg compliant setting? Or on the mysterious 20402 non-compliant message that I get when after successfully burning to a folder, it fails when burning from folder to disc? Thank you!!!
MPEG2
program stream
m2p
720x480
29.97
16:9
GOP 36field/18frames max
GOP auto
Strict GOP
Scene detect enabled
Audio PCM
224kbps
48KHz
16 bits
stereo
MP@ML
CBR 8000 (also have tried VBR at various rates with same problem).

one thing that does seem odd is that PCM is generally 1536kbs not 224kbs...maybe the program stream combined with that audio is messing the program up.
can you export elementary streams from Premiere? If you can I would suggest you output the video and audio separately, import the video into the application and see if it will create a simple disc with just video on it.
there is also a program called GSPOT that will let you look at the headers of your MPEG to see what is going on in there..

I too am mystified to find that my files are non compliant. I encode from tape using the Sonic 500 board. I thought that a Sonic board would produce the correct files. What am I doing wrong?
