DVD Producer "error -701"

Using DVD Producer, HP xw8000, DSR-1500, and Sonic AES balanced audio interface/card configuration. System worked last time I used it months ago, now it stalls after confirming that Tape 1 is in the deck. It stops with an error -701 and asks me to "retry" (which then gives the same error).
Any one know the Producer error codes, a site to search them, or just what I can do to troubleshoot this? Deck is hooked up the same and we use a Sonic interface/cared set so nothing is non-standard. Thoughts?
