Whereas 6.1 was a free update, 6.3 is a paid upgrade, but honestly it's only really worth it if you go for DVDit Pro HD. DVDit Pro 6.3 = 6.1 + WS menu support and is a $99 upgrade. DVDit PRO HD = everything in DVDit Pro 6.3 + output to Blu-ray Disc for all of the features in the application and that is a $199 upgrade. Both of those options are available from the Sonic or Roxio upgrade pages

Scott,
Just wondering, how compatible the BD discs are on all the available set top players out there?
seems none of them can play BD-RE discs except maybe the ps3.
could be the re-writable disc aspect i guess. Lots of dvd players
can read re-writable media.
The folks doing this don't want to risk an 18 dollar coaster at this point heh. (on write-once bd media)
so how well is playback compatability today with write once blu-ray discs authored in DVDit?

We use BD-RE's for testing all the time. It is the smart way to do it at this nascent stage of the game where writables are expensive. You can have successful playback with the Panasonic BD player, Pioneer and unmodified Samsung BD player (original firmware). Probably PowerDVD BD as well.
The PS3 will not currently play BDMV discs (Blu-ray movie mode discs on writables). I believe that will change with one of their future firmware updates.

That is my problem, I neet 16/9 WS menu support.
That is an bug in 6.1.
There is only one upgrade from DVDit (not from DVDitPro6) $149,99.
That is too much.
