I have a request from a client - They want to take a 5 mintue Video and author a DVD that will not allow the user to Fast Forward... I am using Avid DVD by Sonic, which is almost identical to DVDit by Sonic. Is this possible, and if so how?

For a 5 minute piece of video, you should be able to put the video in as a buttonless menu instead of as a title and have FF disabled in that case...skip will also be disabled...you can't disable the UOP in the title space in Avid DVD.

On a related note, is it possible to fast forward a slideshow with music using your dvd remote control? Or is the time set so that it coincides with the music? (DVDIT pro)

I am not sure I understand your question. Slideshows are rendered as a single timeline with underlying audio. So you can fast forward, but slides advance as you do. There is no such thing in the DVD specification as slideshows with disconnected audio where you might fast forward the audio without advancing the slides. Think you might be able to kind of do that in fully implemented HD DVD or Blu-ray.

Thanks,
I'm not even sure if it's possible. I don't want to advance the audio, just the slideshow images. Meaning my slideshow may be finished sooner than the audio file. Is this possible?
