Aspect Ratios on Menus

I have a project in DVDit 6 Pro and it's all 16x9. The menu's are motion menus.
Everything appears to letterbox in simulation mode and on a burnt disc (which is what I want) EXCEPT the menu's. They play native FHA (Full Height Anamorphic). How do I fix this? I need to know urgently. Deadline is now. I need the menu's to follow the correct aspect ratio behaviour.

which version are you on? only the newly introduced DVDit Pro 6.3 or DVDit Pro HD have support for Widescreen menus. If you are going to upgrade, the only one that makes sense is DVDit Pro HD which includes Blu-ray support...but that is $199

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I'm curious as to why on earth someone would make a widescreen compatible product except for the navigational aspects??? It defies logic as to why it cannot present the menu in true 16:9 when it can reproduce everything else that way. It is completely unacceptable to myself and my client to have the programme content bouncing back and forth between wide and non wide screen.

Widescreen menus are different from fullscreen menus and from widescreen video. you can only use 16 buttons per menu instead of 32, and the placement of the highlights is handled differently under the hood to compensate for some TVs that are widescreen and some that are 4:3 letterbox.
DVDit Pro 6.0 and 6.1 do not support widescreen menus. That was introduced in DVDit 6.3/DVDit Pro HD, which is indeed an upgrade. Pro HD is the only way to go if you already have DVDit Pro 6
