Scott, Alex or anyone, I just purchased the upgrade to Pro HD and when I try to run it it gives me a script error during authentification, then locks up, so i can't even get it to run.

jeff, please provide me with your cloaked email address again so we can get you going.
you might try unplugging your machine from the net and launching the application. it will hopefully provide you with a number to enter on a roxio authentication web site to activate the software.

Scott,
I gather that you are working with Roxio? What a God send if so. I have been so frustrated by the scripting error problem, then error messages or log-in problems with every effort to find support. I decided to get a refund and that process also has an error I can't get past. I would love to get this sofware working instead of getting a refund if I can.
Here are the errors I'm getting, each one in a box saying scripting error:
First,
Line 922
Char. 2
Library not registered
Second,
Line 74
Char. 14
'klanguage length' is null or not an object

Scott,
I tried disabling one of my DVD drives and that didn't help. Please help me get this thing working, I'm going nuts. I have a friend in England named Tony Koorlander who bought the software and he's having a very similar problem.

Scott,
If it matters, mine installation is not the upgrade but the full-price purchase, so my errors are probably a bit different than Jeff's are.
My friend in England (Tony Koorlander) is probably getting the same ones as Jeff though, so whatever fixes Jeff's problem I would like to pass on to Tony.

Scott,
I have recently purchased DVDit Pro (but not the HD edition) and am unable to get past the buggy activation routine to actually use the program. I've seen on some of the internet forums you participate in that you may be able to help me. I keep getting IE script errors that say things such as "Library not registered." I've tried everything that tech support has asked me to do. I've updated JavaScript, I've installed Windows Script 5.7 for XP, etc.
Please help me! I've got to act fast and either get my software working or request a refund before time runs out.

Cyrille,
I have a tech support ticket about this in about this, but so far have had no response to my problem. Many people seem to have the same issue, so likely as not they're working on a fix and when they have it, we'll finally get some help.
I bought the software almost a week ago and have been frustrated ever since, and incredibly they don't seem to realize how disturbing it is to a customer to pay $500 USD for something that completely doesn't work, and then to get very little or no help on solving its problems.
I would appreciate at least something like "we're working on this and will have something for you soon" buy they don't bother.

Total reports from the field on this right now is 6 people. Most have actually activated with no problem. We are actively working on this and it is the top priority. actually we worked with Cyrille for quite some time today to get a remote look at his computer so that we could figure out the issue. Unfortunately we could not set up the remote link.
I will post more here tomorrow (though right now I have a 101.8 fever and a stomach bug so give me a little slack)

Scott,
Thanks so much for your response. It means everything to know that someone is "listening" and that people are working on our problems, even if the answer isn't there yet.
I also got some excellent customer service from a lady named Karen at the toll free number who fixed my log-in problems and helped me to get a technical support e-mail ticket.
After speaking with her I quit trying to get a refund and decided to continue to work through my installation's issues and keep the software.
Haven't heard anything regarding the tech support ticket yet, but they are probably in touch with the same people you are who are working toward a solution.
If you need any information about my system, software or installation procedure please post here or e-mail me at tipsd9videoatmsndotcom (learned that anti-spam format from you).
Sorry for the flurry of posts, but some were just to provide additional information rather than just to grouse! I appreciate your attention to this forum and sincerely hope your fever clears up quickly and you feel better soon.

It's pretty well described in the previous posts on the thread, even to the exact error messages, but to reiterate trying to launch the program gave a series of "scripting errors" that I think were related to activation over the internet.
Scott had me send him one of my files and had me run this Belarc program that read out every detail of my computer hardware and software, I mean this thing was almost scary, and he had me send him that.
He sent me back a new version of the set-up file (same file name, different content) and save it over the one I had and the application launches fine now.

Hello all.
I don't know if anyone can help: I am having EXACTLY the same problem that is being described here. Same symptoms, no doubt same causes (I also have a Samsung CR-RW). All of which means my expensive new software won't even run - I don't have to tell anyone here how annoying that is!
I'm not getting any joy from tech support (well, it is holiday season, I guess!).
So - can anyone here provide me with any clues as to how they got their DVDIt running? Disabling the extra drive doesn't work for me. Has anyone got the fabled patch that might sort the problem?
Any help welcome!
Thanks in advance...

Hi Scott,
Thanks for offering to help.
You can contact me via roxioATlipoDOTfreeserveDOTcoDOTuk
(removing the AT and DOT).
I think you may have sent me a message via the forum, but right now the boards aren't allowing me to log on for some reason (aargh! not having much luck, am I?!)
Once again, thanks for any help you can give me,
Simon

I have the same problem. The error is an "Internet Explorer Script Error" at Line 922, and the error is "Library not registered." Please tell me how to get the software work. It's unbelievable that in 2007 a company could actually sell software that doesn't even launch. You can contact me at freethoughtatgmaildotcom.
