Hi,
Is this true?
I just ruined 2 good DVD+R DL disks. After the first one I couldn't eblieve it is DVDit and thought it was my mistake, but the second proves it?
I need to place a numer of files at the ROOT of the disk (not least to have an appliation autorun on disk insertion.
Now the ROM folder feature in DVDit doesn't seem to work properly here: If i select a folder whos CONTENT I want to have placed on the disk DVDit take sthe whole folder and puts it there!
How can I prevent that and get ti to place files there?
Has anyone managed to do this? I never in a blue moon thought that htis could be an issue!

Output a volume to your desktop. Keep your project open. Put your ROM files in a folder with your volume as you would like them laid out at the same level as your Video_TS. In DVDit, select burn disc. Then select "burn from volume" rather than "burn this project". point to the directory that contains your video_ts and rom content and hit ok. that should should burn a disc with your ROM content at the root.

Hi Scott,
That's a good workaround. But would that work if I was going to save to DLT? I need to do that pretty soon.
And that is definitely a feature MUST in my opinion: It's got to be possible to select the contents of a folder for placement at the root of a DVD. To my knowledge there is no DVD player that would object to this, and I have done a lot of interactive DVD projects that way - but I didn't do the DVD authoring, and burning which increasingly I am taking in-house now.
