dual layer - could not make disk ready for writing
by nikolaus on Jul 1, 2006 at 10:32:28 pm

Hi,

I am writing to disk a DVD9 project (dual layer), and just before the actual writing process is supposed to start, DVDit tells me it couldn't get the disk ready for writing.

Is this someone else has encountered as well? I am using an LG super Multi drive, and Verbatim DVD-R disks trying to burn at either 'Auto' or 4x speed.

Is ther an incompatibility from DVDit side?

Thanks
Nik

I believe the application is DVD+R duals only.

Hi

I tried a Verbatim DVD-R DL Disk in DVDit Pro 6 and it did not work.
Only the Verbatim DVD+R DL will work...

Ah yes!

Just got a stack of the +Rs - will try it out tonight!

Is there actually any difference in terms of layer breaks (or anything else) between writing a DVD volume in DVDit and then burning it with - say - Nero, or buringing directly to disk from within DVDit?

Thanks,
NIk
