end action forced button selection?
by TwistedJive on Mar 14, 2006 at 1:52:42 pm

here's what i want to do:
let's say we have five buttons on a screen, each linked to a single move. the user activates button one (b1) and watches movie 1 (m1).

at the end of m1 i want to automatically return to the menu and have b2 highlighted, but not activated.

the user presses enter and activates b2 and watches m2. at the conclusion of m2 the menu returns with b3 highlighted but not activated.

rinse, repeat for the remaining movies.

so the question is...How?

thanks,
bb

With DVDit open, press the number 2 on your keyboard (for the advanced UI mode).

create your menu with 5 buttons. Drag 5 movies to the project tree on the left. Drag movie 1 to button 1 (repeat through movie 5). Highlight Movie 1 in the project tree. Lower right hand corner shows "Movie Attributes". Click on Movie tab. Set end action for that movie back to the menu. "Set Highlight" will now be active. Set the highlight to button 2. Go through the same process for each of the other movies.
