I'm trying to help a fellow in the FCP X techniques forum with a text generator that will highlight one word at a time (http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/344/13351)

It was able to get close making the highlight move from word to word automatically, but what is needed is a parameter to keyframe the highlight as needed to match the VO.

Here is what I did so far:

Any thoughts on how to pull this off?

1. Apply the Sequence Text behaviour
2. Set the speed to Custom
3. Publish the Custom Speed parameter

Alex,

Thanks for that. I created the title, but for some reason once in FCP X while I can make a parameter adjustment and it change the highlight, once a keyframe is set in FCP X, setting additional keyframes and making adjustments doesn't move the highlight.

Any thoughts?

Looks like this behaviour doesn't work properly in Final Cut Pro!

Not sure of a workaround yet.

I'm investigating...
