Fade filter to normal

Hi

I have imported a clip into motion. I have applied a Livetoons sketch effect to the clip but I only want it to last a few seconds and then blend back to normal... How do I best achieve this? I have tried splitting the clip but Motion does not like it too much and it quits unexpectedly. Any help greatly appreciated.

After I sent the post I had another sit down and came up with the very same solution. It was such an obvious fix - I don't know why it didnt come to me straight away...
