hello,
II have been an apple user and an experienced editor for years, yet I have to use Canopus Edius4.x at work... which I do not have any experience with. The company I am working for is cutting full spec HD 1080i with Edius.
what would be the most effective work around with Apple Product?
I use Motion, Shake for composite and motion graphics. How you people integrate with these programs and Edius 4.x? what is your pipeline from Shake and other 3d applications? I am a bit lost and I need someone to guide me thorough this.
If you have any experience, please share it with me ;o) Thank you!

I'd go with Image Sequences- I think that's what you're asking? What format to pass between each application? A TIF or TGA sequence should be loadable in each of those.

thanx for quick reply.... Yes. Image sequence was the first option I was thinking about. I still seek more options in these pipeline/workflow so I can be ready for whatever happens to the real life situation. One guy was talking about ProRes decorder for windows, yet I am not so sure how it will function in inter-platform/application work flow.

Yes there's playback but I think the actual encoding options for ProRes on the PC are still quite limited. Stick with Image sequences- that's pretty much what every cross-platform VFX house has used for the past decade. Then you won't get stuck with a format you can't use on one or the other and you'll preserve image quality.
