Layerlink plugin MIA?
by Campbell MacDuff on Jun 25, 2008 at 5:06:58 am

Howdy.
Does anyone know what happened to the lovely plugin called LayerLink from these chaps?
http://www.ampede.com/layerlink/

The site has obviously fallen into other hands. Can't find reference to it anywhere else...
Any help appreciated.
Thnx
Cam

Howdy,

It's been ages with multiple attempts by people to contact them (him?). At this point they'd have to do a lot of rewriting, because LayerLink depended on an input-manager hack that has been closed in Leopard.

Yep- unfortunately once in a while Apple eats its young whether intentionally or not.

Darn it. It seem like a great solution.
Guess I'll use MotionSmarts illustrator script instead.
How strange with such a great plugin they just vanished. Even if Apple tried to eat them!

I always thought this was a no-brainer type of plug-in, but I didn't realize in was an input manager hack. I'm sort of surprised Apple promoted them on the Motion product page as recently as the release of Motion 3.
