Lights, camera but no action? Are there drop shadows in Motion 3?

I'm relatively new to Motion and we just got Motion 3 here at the office...and, am I correct in the assumption that they added 3D capabilities and lights but without a functional drop shadow? Sure the standard drop shadow is there but is there/where can i find a drop shadow that reacts to the lights ?

DANGIT!
motion 3 doesnt do any of the things I want to try....
1- objects dont cast shadows when lights are shined on them.
2- use 3-d text. not 2-d text in 3-d space, i want 3-d letters!
i agree with the author of this thread. now, in 2007, drop shadows and 3-d text should be included in a "pro" application. basic fundamental stuff that motion 3 is missing. put your head down apple.
