[Steve Kownacki]"Doesn't your grocery store let you take home food and let you pay when you feel like it? ;)"
I had the local Albertson's account a few years ago. After two small productions at $3500, a fair price, they informed me that I had to cut the price by $500 and that they needed 45 - 60 days to pay because they are a bit "cash strapped". I said that I would agree on the condition that I got the same deal at the Albertson's Grocery near my house. Not only did they decline but a week later, while I was at NAB, they called to say that they needed an emergency copy of a recent job I did for them. When I told my contact that I was in Vegas for a convention, he suggested I jump on a plane to Phoenix after the show closed for the day, run his DVD and deliver it (34 miles away) and then "zip" back to Vegas. I told him that I would do it for $400. I never heard from them again. I shop at Fry's now.
The nerve of some people.

Here's an excerpt from a recent email for $800 worth of changes to a video:
"...sorry for the outstanding balance. I don't remember
receiving this invoice. I was under the impression that you
just gifted me the rest of the work. ...By the way, I might be shooting another video when I come back home. I'll keep you posted."
