Completely new---some audio recording help please. :)
by Whitney Haskell on Aug 2, 2009 at 9:41:22 pm

Hi,

I am completely new to using Adobe Audition, and I have a question about how to record audio direct to file in AA3. How do I do it?

I was told that recording direct to file was good for optimum sound quality, and when I looked up "Recording direct to file in Multitrack view" in Help on the program, it seemed to only define what it was, but gave no insight on how to do it.

If anyone out there can help, that would be wonderful!

Thanks!

If you record in multitrack, you will be recording direct to disk.

Thanks!

It must be my mic that's the problem then.

It makes sense, every time I record something it asks me if I want to save it, and it of course saves directly to the hard drive.

Saved me a lot of frustration! :)
