Audition has an excellent Noise Reduction Effect as well as a click and Pop Eliminator in the Restoration group of processes. If you can capture a snippet of the unwanted noise by itself you can use it to remove the unwanted noise with pretty good results.

Depending on the software available to you this can be done in any number of applications besides Audition with varying degrees of success.
