i have adobe audtion 3 and i am trying to record a guitar with a delay but the soud coming from my monitors has a little delay to as well which is making it hard. its like when i strum the sound coming out is slightly behind. is there some setting i need to change? i am using XP and also the asio4all. i have tried changing the sample rate on asio4all but that didnt help. if anyone knows i would much appriciate it!

It's called latency, and it's there no matter what sound card/interface one might use. General use PC sound cards are worse for latency even when using ASIO4all. You could try changing the buffer size smaller to reduce the latency. lower is better.

Or get yourself a cheap USB interface such as a Fast Track or Toneport and the latency should be under 10 milliseconds.
