Deleting Muted Sections Of Audio?

I have some muted sections of audio that I need to delete so I don't have long stretches of silence. But I don't see a delete option when I highlight it. Please help.

Once higlighted,just press the delete key on your keyboard.

You could even automate the process using the Delete Silence effect in the menus.
