Hello,

Please recommend an application where I can quickly browse by thumbnail & play m2t clips. Currently we're using VLC to play, but no thumbnail previews.

We shoot HDV with Sony Z7, Z1 on CF card or tape.

HDV is already an old format but I still cannot find the right solution for this.

Thanks.

What OS are you working with?
With Windows (7 64 Bit) I got thumbnails even in the explorer. Or you could use Adobe Bridge.

[Ervin Tia] "WoW, really? Thumbnails of m2t (HDV) files?"

Yeah, when I open the directory with the files, explorer shows me the thumbnails of the clips. Not sure if XP already did that, 7 does... And Bridge does. AFAIK Bridge can't be purchased as a standalone application... :(

Well, I'm not really an MAC guy. As written, we work on Windows 7 64Bit and the thumbnails even show up in the explorer.

Maybe this can help:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/extending/components.html

Enables quicktime to play MPEG2 files... So there's a valid chance Bridge can show the thumbnails... Not sure though if it really works
