Does anyone know how to use it effectively with HDV?
Thank you

I've used it quite a bit with HDV and it's either a smashing success or never mind. I don't know if this is an HDV issue, but sometimes you get unpredictable results. Areas of the image that pulse or blow up more than the rest. I haven't tried capturing in ProRes422 to see if that fixes things.

I captured in ProRes422 and got some excellent results with SmoothCam.. but as Lee says the results are largely unpredictable. I have a friend who swears by a little colour correction prior to the smoothing, but Ive never tried that.
