Has anyone tryed the Brevis35 on a Sony HD1000u

Has anyone tryed the Brevis35 on a Sony HD1000u? What stepdown ring is needed can any after market ring be used or do you have to use Cinevate's. I have been pleased with the downcoversion to 720 24p and would like to add that narrow depth of feild.
