problem with sony z7 and mc1!help pls

hi guy!
the past week i been try to work out how to use the mc1.the problem i have at the moment is that .as i set on camera ext rec mode to syncro,the camera dont let me expand focus when the mc on (ofcos it conect to camera when it on.other problem i have is that the mc1 alway stop before or sometime after the the tape stop (i check time code and tape.it doesnt match?).
havent anyone have same problem with me ?
i can live with the first problem but on the second one.it will be pain if later i need to recapture from tape and i have to fix all the editing again since the timecode not match ....
