Playing HDV 24p tape from HVR-Z7U on a Sony HVR- V1 ??

I have been trying to play back a tape I shot at NAB using the new Sony HVR Z7U shooting HDV AT 24P, and have tried in vain to play it back on the Sony HRV-V1U camera. They are both Sony 24 HDV cameras but are the incompatible for playback?
