help! Unkown recorded format - SONY HVR-V1E

hello!

I have started logging footage recorded with SONY HVR-V1E.
The big problem here is that no one in the crew knows in what format they recorded the images.
I need to set up the FCP project, so that's a piece of information i really need to know...
does anyone knows how to find that out after it was all recorded? could FCP tell me how was the original footage recorded (fps, number of lines, etc)?

I believe the V1E records HDV 1080i50
if not try HDV 1080 25p

Caroline- In FCP try the two Easy Setups Michael suggests.... if they don't work then test other Easy Setups with Log and Capture until FCP recognizes the footage. Digitize a short clip and the browser columns will give you all the information you need.
