Buying a used HDV deck - How many hours is acceptable?

Hello

Found a used Sony M25U with 310 hours on the drum head, 1460 hours operation - is this too many hours, or would this be a good deal at $1500? How many hours limit should one look for before buying a used M15U or M25U?
