"Dirty spot" seen on Z1U Image Wide angle @ F5.6 to F11

When I am shooting at the widest part of the lens, outdoors with my SONY Z1U, I am experiencing what appears at first glance to be a dirt spot that appears in the center of the image. The lens is spottess and clean so it is not an issue of dirt on the lens. The dark spot shows up in the sky when shooting at a F stop that is greater than F5.6. It gets darker as I stop down the lens, and also gets sharper if I manually focus to a closer distance. Has anyone out there experienced this defect? Is it in the CCD, or a spec of dirt on the CCD?

Mark
Is there a wide angel attachment being used while this is happening?
You have asked this question before and I still believe it to be a reflection issue. Stacking glass while having a bright sky is when I have had this issue while using a wide angle adapter. If you have access to some ND gel or filters here is what you can try. In a bright sunny day setup the camera with more than 25% of sky framed in the top of of your image, don't use any ND on the camera and make sure you don't have any direct hits from the sun on the lens. Take the ND gel out away from the lens (6-12 inches) adding as many layers as needed to control the image and test different f-stops with and layers of ND to see if you still have this issue. If the issue is resolved then it is just the nature of stacking glass to close together with a naturally bright sky causing a reflection off one element on to another. What was strange for me was not seeing it more much while panning, leading me to think it was dirt on the lens, but thinking back I now recall we did use a wide angle on top of the fixed lens.
Please let me know if this helps resolve this.
Good Luck

Is it in the exact same spot all the time you experience this? If yes
I would consult with a Sony authorized service center and get it cleaned.

You're not the first. There is an issue of this happening on other Sony cameras. (It happened on my camera too) I took it into Sony repair and they said, some of the FX1 & Z1's have flaking inside the lens. Specs pop off and land on the inside lens element. Nothing to do but take the entire less assembly apart.
I had mine repaired by F/VESCO in Denver (An Authorized repair shop) They've done a couple already with this issue. I bet it could be the same on your Z1U. Is it still under warranty?
