Poll - Need 24P or 24F HDV - please comment - Which is your fav

I saw the post below comparing the V1 to the HVX but what about the Canons or JVC?

I love my Z1U. It is everything I need except that it don't do 24P.
I was waiting for the V1U but:
the lens is not as wide as the Z1
the LCD is not as good as the Z1
I can't easily ingest into Final Cut Pro yet
The 1/4" chips must enhance depth of field

In real world use what are you folks finding out? Even though our feature has distribution, we delivered it as a 60i D5 because NONE of the conversion paths to 24 were acceptable to me other than paying around 30k for a high end house to do their secret proprietary conversion.

PS I am open but for now leaning toward a Canon since the Canon reps assured me that the 24F IS 24P once it's captured into FCP via Firewire. If it ends up identical to 24P, who cares what you call it? With the XH A1 it doesn 't look like I can use my Cinetech follow focus as there is no way to put a gear over the focus ring. I don't know if it's worth the cost and size difference to go to the XLH1 though.

So is the "24F" on teh Canon recorded to tape as 60i with a pulldown? And can it be edited in a 23.98 timeline? Or does it also have to go through a reverese telecine procedure like footage from the V1U if you want to go 23.98?

From what Canon says yes it can but I have not done it so I can not verify.
We'll see what Apple comes up with for the Sony at NAB I suppose.
