Hi, I have been shooting time-lapse on 35mm and 16mm for a while now, and more recently on a digital still camera. I wanted to know, out of all the higher-end HDV cameras out there, (the HVX200, XLH1, HD100, Z1U) can any of them recored single frame of HD 1080 ???? and which of theses cameras has the most in depth "Best" Intervalometer program ????
Thanks, any help on Time-lapse and HDVcameras is much appreciated!

Hi Marc,
even if they could, I'd never do this to my camera! It's terrible wear and tear on the mechanism.
What's wrong with using digital still cameras? I'be been shooting lots of time-lapse footage with my Canon S50, their Remote Capture program and my laptop. I've been using such clips in HD video projects and the quality is awesome.

HDV200 is NOT an HDV camera. It records DVCProHD. I believe it can do single frame interval recording since it is going to P2 so there's no tape transport to much things up.
