Z1P Time lapse function

Z1P Time lapse function

Does anybody know if a Z1P has a timelapse function and how to use it?

i have tried Frame Rec in DVCAM but there is no functions as to how many shots it would take in a Minute and i haven't found anything in the manuel

Nope! No time lapse. I believe it was done away with because of the HDV Mpeg interframe long GOP, 12 frames for 50i and 15 for 60i being not the ideal for frame by frame short sequence recording. For a complete Mpeg group of pictures with accurate back spacing and contigeous IBP frame stuctures it would mean a minimum half second per capture in either 50i or 60i. I guess they though it was too much trouble to impliment it just for the interframe DVCam/DV side of things. Shame!
