HDV -> DV iLink Conversion

Hello,

I am trying to find out if there are any known problems with shooting HDV and using the M1 deck to 'downconvert' to DV over firewire so I can digitise into Avid Adrenaline for offline only purposes?

The down convert is very good indeed and seems to be a much better picture than original DV or DVCAM. Be careful to set in the menu what aspect ratio you want. You have a choice of three settings, squeeze will give you proper 16:9 as you shot it.
