How best to capture m2t from HC1?

I need to capture the raw m2t output from my HC1 ... but I also need to be able to specify the in & out points. The reason for this is because I want to be able to capture precise clips from the tape and not go through an editing process.
I can't use Premiere Pro because it doesn't use the raw streams. I can't use ConnectHD from Cineform because you can't specify in & out points - it just captures, as does CapDVHS.
I've tried using the Media Studio Pro 8 trial but (a) it keeps on blowing up when I try to run the capture tool and (b) when I have managed to get the tool working, it doesn't look like I can specify in & out points.
I'm not specifically asking for help about MSP8 - although if it can do what I want, that is a bonus. I am sking for advice and suggestions on any tool that will allow me to capture the m2t stream but within specific in and out points.
Can anyone make suggestions as to how I can achieve what I need to do?

So what you need is a NLE application which allows you to batch capture. If you use Premiere Pro 1.51 it will do that, transcode to Cineform intermediate and away you go. Vegas will allow capture of raw M2V if I'm not mistaken, as will Liquid Edition 6.1.

Since batch capture may be problematic, it may be faster to capture the whole lot then snip the unwanted parts out. With Vegas you could do this with the original HDV footage, no intermediate necessary. Don't know about MSP8.
