hot key for "select"

is there no hot key for “select” function?
either in timeline, or in modules, ie: selecting a point in gmask.

I am working off of smoke legacy keyboard shortcuts.
for ex: it is space bar + M on Flame Timeline, Smoke Advanced.
space + A still is ADD
space + B still is break points.

I did look in keyboard shortcuts, no setting for “select”

any help?

but alas, there is no item for "Select" in TIMELINE context. Only "select" in other modules (gmask for ex)

How can the most commonly used function, NOT have a hot key??

In Photoshop: "V"
In Final Cut "A"
in After Effects "V"

I can go on...
