I don't really know that this is the correct forum for this but I can't find this info anywhere. I am responsible for calibrating our Flame and Flint suites. I use the provided Lustre Color calibrator software to calibrate the workstation LCD's but I am at a last for the Dreamcolors we have.
My question is: Because we are solely working in Rec. 709 do I ever have to calibrate the Dreamcolor?
I know I can calibrate a user custom color space and I have the probe to do so but I don't know if the factory supplied Rec. 709 will drift. We have a lot of displays and high end projectors and they ALL need to be calibrated at some point. I can't believe the Dreamcolor would be so accurate it never "wanders" from its factory Rec. 709.
Please note we are using these as "client" displays and are fed via HD-SDI (through the Gegen HD-SDI->HDMI converter) so there is no profiling involved here.

We have an engineer come in at least once a year to calibrate all of our monitors.
I don't know much about the Dreamcolor, so I can't really comment on that.
