Tomorrow at IBC in Amsterdam, Autodesk will introduce the latest releases of the systems products, Inferno, Flame, Flint, Smoke and Lustre. I thought it would be a good idea to post a link on this Smoke forum to the new features videos which describe what's new in Smoke 2009 extension 1.
If you use Smoke or are interested in learning about how Smoke now utilizes GPU acceleration to deliver real time video conversions; or now supports data oriented finishing and conform from streaming media formats such as P2 with AVC Intra, or XDCAM, please take a look at the links below.

Smoke 2009:
I heard tonight that your projects are not backwards compatible from ext 1, when it finally hits the streets. Projects are converted to work in the new extension. Still waiting to hear if the media will be duplicated on your disk array. Of course, they recommend archiving your box before doing the ext 1 release.
BTW: Service pack 2 is out and required an AJA firmware update on my 8600. Don't forget to log in as root with a minus sign after su or the firmware update will not find the AJA card.
