We have an older Anycast that operates in Standard Definition. Is it true that the Anycast can be upgraded to HD with a firmware update and the addition of an HD card?

I use an Anycast AWS-G500. There is not a firmware update that will make the Anycast HD. In order to do so I use an HD-SDI Card for the Anycast and the AJA Ki Pro. I have the HD-SDI loop out of the Anycast card and into the AJA- this is only a Program Out recording.
