Is there a way to pull avi or mov files into Velocity Q without converting the file first?

Im capturing SD 720x480 files from my matrox MX02/w Max into a network hard drive. I want to add a PC with Velocity Q installed to the shared drive.

Hi Mark,
VelocityQ 9 can use on timeline, without conversion, AVI DV files; if you can capture into this format, you'll be ok.

Otherwise you could use ivsCapture to capture into .dps/.dva file formats on your network shared drive.

Paolo,

What is the price of ivsCapture and is it compatible with Matrox MX02?

Thanks,
Mark

I see pricing on your website and you don't support Matrox.

Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark,
ivsCapture price list is 495.00USD, and it does not support the MX02, but supports all BMD internal external cards (much cheaper than the Matrox ones) and firewire DV/HDV.
If you'd need it, you can capture more video streams at the same time and edit files while you are capturing them on your shared drive (if it is fast enough).
