Hi i have been working with velocity 8.2 for over 5 years ( have 5 systems..love them all) but i was in the end of a very long project ( 2 hours) i had a corrupted file, after rebooting the computer i found that the time line was gone, everytime i try to loaded it tells me this" failed to open object document....this file may not be compatible with your current software version....this timeline is invalid.....
The clips are all in the gallery...but i lost the timeline..when openning the time line within the project..i see it there but i can't open it...any ideias?? i can't lose all that work...15 hours ....HELP please..

The software should have created timeline backups during your edit.
First thing to try is loading the recovery timeline. I believe you go to "timeline - recover", then the system should load the last good saved timeline.
If that doesn't work, look in your project folder, then "database", then "timeline" and see if there aren't some timelines with different extensions. That might not be the exact folder structure but it's something like that. The backup timelines usually have an extra letter in the extension and you might need to rename them..but our projects usually have 2 or 3 of these and they're usually only a few minutes to maybe an hour older than your last saved timeline. So you at least recover to somewhere close to where the problem occurred.
If all of that fails you could be hosed. But we've used the systems for 9 years and never lost more than maybe an hour's worth of work...and that's only happened once. Beyond that, we've never lost more than a few minutes worth.
