I have a DVD project with 5 videos in it and have a main menu and chapter menu. In the main menu - I have three buttons - "Play" "Chapters" & "Languages" (for subtitles). In selecting the "Play" - I have it set so that it will play the first video then jump to the second and onwards to the last video-by selecting the next video in order in the end jump.

When you select "Chapters" - it goes to a Chapter Menu and in this menu there are 5 buttons / thumbnails of each individual video and from here I want each video after it finishes to jump back to the Chapter Menu.

SO what I did was duplicate each of the 5 tracks / videos and renamed them and had each of the tracks within the Chapter Menu end jump back to the Chapter Menu.

However, when I duplicate the tracks it also increases the size of the DVD so that it exceeds 4.7 GB. My quick fix on this was to encode / compress the video files at 150 mins instead of 90 minutes - but this will decrease the video quality as well.

So how can I set this up so that the 5 videos play consecutively when I press the "Play" button in the Main Menu but in the Chapters Menu, the individual videos end jump to the Chapters Menu - without having to duplicate the tracks and / or increasing the size of the DVD?

I appreciate any help and advice with this...

For the chapter only play you use stories. Each chapter marker in its own story then you set the story's end jump back to the menu. Supper easy once you know what to look for.

Michael:

Thanks for the reply - I will pull up the project first thing in the morning but may ask for some more detail on how to do what you're suggesting - as I'm a novice at DVDSP and have been working off a previous project created by someone else and trying to make these changes

Thanks again Michael for the help - also found this video on You Tube which shows you how to add stories to tracks...

Great. Normally once you know what to look for the answers are already out there.

Yeao, I know your show well. While I haven't ridden a horse in 30'years I think I could be a horseman with all the shows I have handled since I have been there. Well maybe not.
