Hello, I have searched this forum for layered menu problems and have read through many of them, but never came across an answer as to how to solve this problem. I've seen many DVD menus use images or glows as the rollover effect, so there has to be a way to achieve this, correct? If so, how would I go about doing this?

A client of ours will be providing a psd of how they want their menu designed with specific buttons and highlights. There will also be a motion background. They gave us a DVD they made last year and when we rollover the buttons, they highlight correctly with a glow/image they specified. I'm not sure what program was used to create the DVD, but in previous threads I read, if "DVDSP can't do it, none of the programs can", so I'm hoping there is some way to achieve this in DVDSP.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Well there is no way to use layered menus with either video or audio. But you can build separate motion menus for every look you want. Then your buttons are all auto activate other than the selected button you appear to be on.

How you are using the term rollover, which normally refers to using a mouse, which will never activate a layered menu or auto activate button, you have to click.

But this will work in a set top player. This is a lot of work and as stated above does not work well in computers.
