Hybrid DVD authoring for HD/SD content?
by Tod Modisett on Aug 11, 2009 at 7:05:04 pm

I have an HD project in FCP 6.0.6. It's a short movie, only about 5 minutes long. I also have a 5.1 surround sound mix.

The DVDSP manual suggests that I can create a hybrid DVD that would play either an SD or HD version of the movie, depending upon the player reading the disk. Is this true? If so, is there a cheat sheet online for such a process?

Also, any ideas on what the best settings in Compressor would be to convert the HD movie (24p) to a useable SD format? I would obviously like the SD version to look as good as possible.

THANK YOU!

A HD DVD can have HD or SD content on it. This HD DVD will never play in any SD DVD player.

The settings questions has been asked many times before. Do a search.
