You need to make the arrow black on a white background.
Then you can select the arrow and determine which color it's gonna be.

The simplest thing to do is , just make a white layer with the black arrow and
export is as .tiff

Then import that tiff into DVDSP, draw a button-rectangle outside that arrow
and use the button/colors-tab in the inspector to select the normal/highligted/selected
button-color

[Dan Newton] "i make a new layer that is white -- copy the arrow on it --- make the arrow black

"

An overlay for DVDSP is a flattened gray-scale image where white becomes the transparent background, and
black is color-mapped in the menu inspector to the required colors for the button states.
A .tiiff would be better to color-map than a jpeg.
You need this info to make successful overlay menus.

Cheers
Alexander
