Hi All,

Hopefully One of you geniuses can help...

Im trying to make a dvd of a short (4mins) film ive just made... I've imported it successfully to compressor from the FCS2 timeline as a MPEG2-6.2Mbps 2-pass- PAL file with audio set at AC3

When i try to import it into 'DVD STUDIO PRO' in the 'Asset' folder it says 'Incompatible Format' ... I've got al the 'Disc' settings compatible to the incoming file: PAL SD DVD etc but its just not working...

Please help

Dean

One thing to check

In the Inspector with the preset chosen > Encoder button > Extra tab > make sure that Multiplexed Mpeg-1... is NOT checked.

Did you format the DVD that will not play within DVDSP? If not burn it with DVDSP.

Did you use the Burn or Built/Format method? If you did Burn, try Build/Format.

if you want you ca send me the DVDSP project file, no assets needed. The project file needs to be zipped before emailing it.

You can send it to onthecow (at) michaelangelodv (dot) com

i'm having a similar problem. the project plays fine, both in viewer and simulator. it goes through build and burn fine, and ends there, noting that projects has been successfully formatted. i can' get it to actually burn a dvd.

if relevant, this is pro res project that i'm processing hd.

You can try Format command if you have a successful build.

Thats the weird thing ... Mine goes into compressor okay then into DVDSP fine, builds and formats and the formatted dvd ejects... But it just goes to 'Menu' in a DVD player when you press play it just says 'This operation not permitted' thats on my Sony dvd player and my laptop ... When i first tried all went fine and the dvd actually plays without having a Grey screen with 'menu' on it but now nothing...

Frustrating isn't the word

Hi all,

My fun and games continue with DVDSP ...

I managed to get it to work with smaller films ( about 5 mins long about 181MB in size ) but now I'm trying to burn my 27min ( 1.4GB in size ) feature and it now just keeps crashing...

Any ideas ???

Dean
