How can GPRM 0 be anything other than GPRM 0 ??

Sorry I did a search but nothing seems to answer this noob question.
Im just starting to learn DVDSP. I dont get it when you use commans like Jump to XXX if GPRM 0 is = to GPRM 3. That just doesnt make any sense to me, if GPRM is 0, then of course its not 3, what kinda logic is this?

Did you figure out that GPRMs are registers that hold value that you can set in different ways. GPRM O is the register, the value doesn't have to be 0.
