Format error using DVDSP

Format error using DVDSP

I am trying to author a hi def DVD using a 29 gigabyte FCP movie file. The DVD has 4.77 gigabyte capacity but each time I try to burn it I get a "Formatting failed" "Formatting was not successful. Not enough space on output media".

This is the first time I've used hi def and DVDSP. Any ideas? I've been floundering for hours.

First....Are you aware that HD DVDs can only be played in certain Macs and Toshiba HD DVD players only?

You only have 4.7 G available so you need to set your bitrate to fit in that range.
