Menu backgrounds disappeared

So i just opened up a DVD studio project and neither the background image, or overlays any longer show up. I opened another project and get the same thing. Never had this issue before but i did just upgrade to Leopard... could that be causing this or is there some setting that is not allowing my backgrounds to show up. And i've done a pretty thorough search for any such function.
Oh, and because it was a project that was aready done (i was going to update it) i went ahead and burned it for kicks, and low and behold, the dvd works. I just can't see what the hell i'm doing in the menu, or when i simulate...

After clearing out all remnants of DVD Studio Pro off my computer (from the Library/Receipts folder, Applications folder, and ~/Library/Preferences) and re-installing I got it to work again.
