DVD will play everywhere except PCs running XP?

Help! I burned a DVD and sent to a client and they said that when they tried to play it back in their computers that they got the error "A compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer"
When it is played back on my Macs, my Vista PC and in any household DVD player, it works perfectly... however, they say that in any XP machine they tried it didn't work. They have tried updating their Windows Media Player with no luck.
I searched for a similar post, but couldn't find any that were specific to this problem, so sorry if it's a repeat.
I burnt the master disc on a MacPro 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel, 5 GB ram, using FCP 6 to cut and DVDSP to master...
Thoughts?

I've been having similar complaints from clients, but only recently. I posted here as well, and someone redirected me to this threat. The thing is, I'm never once heard of this problem from my clients until the past couple months, and in that time it's been somewhat frequent. Are we sure there isn't an updated authoring codec at fault here?

Has anyone heard any further info regarding playback problems on XP? We have experienced the same issue and the VLC install issue isn't applicable to us as most of our clients don't have the admin privileges on their systems to allow them to do this install.
