Import subtitle error due to wrong timecode

I'm trying to import subtitles to a DVD project I'm working with (using DVD Studio Pro)
My asset starts with 10:00:00:00
and my .stl file uses 10:00:00:00 and so on for the timecode/subtitles.
Even though I exported my video in a sequence set to 10:00:00:00 when I add it to DSP it says that it is 00:00:00:00. This stays at 00:00:00:00 even though I change to asset-based timecode.
Due to the wrong timecode (that shouldn't be wrong!) I can't import my subtitles.
If I change all my 10:00:00:00 to 00:00:00:00 in the .stl document everything works. But since i have 5 hours material with subtitles to 4 different languages, I obviously cant spend that much time manually changing all the numbers!
My guess is that I've missed some kind of setting in DSP but I can't figure out what.
Anyone got a clue? I would be really greatful for replies!!

Keep in mind that your encoder sets the MpegII tc, not the timeline (although i don't know if FCP to Compressor 'should' do so.
So you may need a re-encode.
But altering the STL can be done with a text editor, with a simple 'search replace'
